I’ve been a potter for 18 years
My practice began when I was in middle school and enrolled in a wheel throwing class through my school. Ever since I’ve kept up a regular pottery practice, both within the US and abroad, and taught classes on wheel throwing, handbuilding, Raku firing, and glaze mixing.
Because my practice has been a highly personal one, purely for the love of the material, I have mostly in progress photos of my pieces. I explore techniques and materials as a way to deepen my understanding of the materiality of art objects and foster a philosophical connection to the artists who made the objects I conserve.
